Kaiser Bathroom Remodel Project

The Caffi Services remodeling team works very closely with homeowners through every stage of the remodeling process — from planning to demolition to the final touches. The goal is always to meet clients’ wants and needs in every way we can. If they have any specific items they would like saved, we find ways to keep them and even make them focal points.

For example, in this bathroom remodel recently finished in Alexandria, Virginia, we got to work with a beautiful window in the shower. This was a common feature in homes before exhaust fans became prevalent, and we wanted to preserve the brightness it brought to the bathroom while keeping the area private for the homeowner. Our remodelers replaced the existing wood window with a Vinylmax “Edison” Series window and wet location-appropriate, poly-satin shutters — an elegant solution to privacy.

With help from Old Town Bath & Kitchen and other vendors we regularly work with, we were able to provide top-quality items from some of the industry’s finest manufacturers — from tiles to fixtures. We installed water-resistant tiles on the shower walls and bathroom floor in accordance with the client’s selection. The beautiful, gray tile in the shower now extends to the ceiling, and the marble-colored hexagon tiles on the floor add a nice texture to the room. We always recommend painting walls in a damp location, such as a bathroom, with a semi-gloss or eggshell paint.

Being a design-build company, our Caffi Services plumbing team installed new fixtures and modified any existing plumbing as needed after all tile work and painting were complete. They also installed valves, secured the waste and water lines for the sink, toilet, and tub, and tested all plumbing within the bathroom. Once all work is complete, we cleaned the area and removed all debris and protections. Our favorite part of any remodel is the big reveal and seeing the homeowner’s reaction!
